Don't Live Within Your Means

God made the world so round so that we would never be able to see too far down the road. Significant achievements have never been obtained by taking small risks on unimportant issues. Go farther than you can see, don't just look at the present.

Think unthinkable thoughts, set your sights on big game. Too many people expect little, ask for little, receive little and are content with little. Dreaming is daring to do something regardless of the consequences. Let your faith run ahead of your mind.

Don't live within your means. Act bigger, believe larger and associate higher. Your outlook determines your outcome. So make your plans big. Certainly we should spend within our means, but not live there.

If shoe fits, don't wear it. You're not allowing room for growth. When you look up the word 'means', the dictionary tells average. When you decide to live within your means, you are deciding to live an average life. Don't stay where you are, know your limits then, ignore them.

The Obstacles in Our Way

In ancient times, a king had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king’s wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the king for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the big stone out of the way. Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. On approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. As the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the king indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The peasant learned what many others never understand. Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve one’s condition.

Never Chase A Lie

Broken promises cause the world's greatest accidents. You can't make wrong work. Honesty is the first chapter of the book of wisdom. Never chase a lie: if you leave it alone, it will run itself to death. Everything you add to the truth, you inevitably subtract from it.  A lie will add to your troubles, subtract from your energy, multiply your difficulties and divide your effectiveness. Never view anything positively that makes you break your word. Make your word your bond.

Get Caught Dreaming...

Ideas are like rabbits. You get a couple and learn how to handle them and pretty soon, you get a dozen. You'll get more out of every part of your life, if you stay incurably curious.  Get caught dreaming. It's never too late for you to start thinking more creatively. Unfortunately, dreams are the first casualty in life - people seems to give them up quicker than anything for reality. The important thing is to not stop questioning. Never loose a holy curiosity!
