Life Scars

Scars of our wounded past should be worn proudly!!! Like a badge a symbol of our life experiences… 

It should remind us of the mistakes we have made, a pointer to lessons learnt, a deterrent from making wrong choices by helping us not to go round the same mountain over and over… with the scars starring right at us it teaches us to take full responsibility of the choices we make today and how they can affect us in our daily lives…

When next we see our scars don’t frown at them instead welcome scars with its many lessons, remember they were once wounds that have now been healed.

The Obstacles in Our Way

In ancient times, a king had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king’s wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the king for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the big stone out of the way. Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. On approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. As the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the king indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway. Character is the aggregate sum total of one's distinctive moral and mental qualities. Every man has in himself a continent of undiscovered character, however it is not a natural endowment we are born with.  It is something that each individual forms of itself, with a continuous process in every thought, every action, every deed, every feeling which contributes to the education  faculty of our attitudes and habits.  Character is just like cloud of smoke, it can never be concealed or hidden because it will find its way out. Character is a magnet that attracts the right people to you. It is the real foundation of all worth while success.  "Thoughts leads on purposes, purposes go forth in action, action from habits, habits decides character, and character defines our destiny" (Tryon Edwards). Would your reputation recognize your character if they met in the dark? Would the boy you were be proud of the man you are?
