It's been said that the biggest enemy
of 'great' is 'good'. The biggest enemy most of us face is 'ourselves'. The
nagging voice says: be like him, you're not worthy; do what he does, follow
where others are going. When you're trying to be like someone else, the best
you can ever be is "second best". Why compare yourself with
others? No one in the entire world can do a better job of being you than you.
We all do it or have done it at some point in our lives; we compare ourselves
to others and gauge where we are based on what we observe them to be doing.
When you stop comparing yourself to others, you tend to produce more results in
your life, you are able to improve yourself, and get a better vision for your
life. The easiest thing to be in the world is YOU. The most difficult
thing to be is what other people want you to be. Don't let them put you in that
position. Until you make peace with who you are, you will never be content
with what you have, which means that if you don't have a plan for your own
life, you will be the part of someone else's.
Most humans have allowed themselves to be conditioned by their problems, environment, and difficulties to the extent that they have lost their true identity and have believed their circumstances to be their destiny. The quality of an individual is dependent on the quality of his thoughts and passion. Passion is powerful in life. You will be remembered in life only for your passions. A strong passion for any object will insure success, for the desire of the end will point out the means. Most winners are "ex-losers" who got passionate. The worst bankruptcy in the world is the person who lost his passion. When you add passion to a belief, it becomes conviction. Conviction get more things done than belief ever dreamed. The starting point of all accomplishment is desire. Feeble desires bring feeble results, just as a small amount of fire makes a small amount of heat. Be passionate about your life.
